The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by “Froggy” LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base.  This time, “Froggy” has brought along a friend, a painfully shy young man named Charlie who is terrified at the thought of making conversation with strangers.  Therefore, before “Froggy” leaves the camp, he tells the others lodge visitors that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English.  Once alone, the fun really begins as Charlie overhears more than he should – the evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and his redneck associates.

Ebenezer Scrooge is cut off from the joys of Christmas and any warm human contact by his own miserly ways.  After angrily spitting out “Bah! Humbug!” in response to his nephew’s Christmas Party invitation and wishes of Merry Christmas, Scrooge has a chilling visitation from the ghost of his dead business partner, Jacob Marley.  After the Wraith disappears, Scrooge collapses into a deep sleep where he is visited by the “Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come”.

The songs and music of this wonderful old Christmas story make for a lively, entertaining, heartwarming evening for the entire family.

The Theatre Family is extremely saddened by the devastation to our beautiful city and it’s wonderful citizens and are hopeful all those affected  are safe and already receiving assistance.

By Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten.

Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships.  Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.  As the years pass, these five women increasingly rely on one another, through advice and raucous repartees, to get through the challenges (men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce and aging) that life flings at them.

The Dixie Swim Club is the story of these five unforgettable women – a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever.
