Director Christopher Lowe will hold auditions for the 11 main roles to perform this “jukebox musical” that takes place in 1979 Manhattan during opening night of the Barracuda, the first floating casino and discotheque in New York. The characters gather to gamble and dance, unaware of impending natural disasters, with the building’s lack of safety measures compounding these catastrophes – the most notable, the casino was built on a fault line! A goofy parody of plot points from Earthquake, The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno, with side trips into Piranha, and Willard, and the unforgettable songs of the ’70s take center stage in this “side-splitting” musical comedy.
